Typhoon: the Water Type Typhlosion!

Though I suppose Tidephlosion is more accurate. Raised at sea this gruff man startled everyone when instead of fire he was able to have control over water instead!
A man of the ocean, he can easily handle anything the waves throw at him!

In the camping where I go every year I have an old acquaintance who sometimes reminds me a bit of a gnome, in a nice way.
He is gruff but soft-hearted!
This year I dedicated a drawing to him ... the good old man Vittorio.

I'll lead us off: I loved Ifan in Divinity 2 and his gruff but warm demeanor. In 40k Mechanicus, Khepra was great, and her concern for her troops is refreshing. Ciaphas Cain is a hilarious protagonist in his novels. Rinkah is a big lady with a big weapon and a solid personality.

Its hard to pick a favorite between the cast. I'd probably say Blade. He is one of main three protagonists. Very cold to strangers and defensive. Comes off gruff with a bit a mouth. Despite this, he is very kind to his allies. Will defend if anyone tries to harm them.
