I will say, even if I have ... THOUGHTS... on the final arc so far, Judai really summarizes his change in character well.
He's been through a lot. He's had to grow so much in such a short amount of time.

But even if he's more aware of pain out in the world, he's still Judai.

Since the events of the last arc (including merging with Yubel), Judai's definitely showing a more subdued fire and a bit of a jaded side. It's still him, but you can tell he's grown up and grown weary of hijinks at last.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that the entire Supreme King persona is actually a surprisingly sturdy analogy for depression in Judai's case: Burying you in very thick layers of pain that you sometimes just can't get through.
