Usually I will do gray daft>rough sketch>final, for rough sketch I will use blending mode layer for faster but in final colour I will colouring layer by layer and some art I use blending mode in clothes part. In all step I will alway open previous daft/sketch on the side window.

I put the ears and horns on different layers
personally I prefer cat-eared rissa but once in a while I remember she said the horns aren't optional 🫣
