The first lightsaber form is called Shii-cho. It was the first lightsaber form invented shortly after the first lightsabers were invented. As such, it's outdated, and most Jedi learn it as an introduction to lightsaber combat before moving on to one of the other 6 forms.

Fun fact: the machine called Rotoscope was created by the Fleischer brothers, they used it to make those Superman cartoons in the 40’s. Without the rotoscope we wouldn’t have lightsabers 🤯
