First revealed when Gold & Silver's 1997 demo leaked in 2018, Para was originally created to serve as the baby stage of the Parasect family... but he didn't make the final cut.

wtf I just found out that the pokemon Parasect isn't some kind of cool symbiosis, it's a mushroom parasite that has overtaken and functionally killed the insect host and is now effectively just piloting its corpse. wtf.
