This series sound silly but i believe tamura was inspired after watching Gladiator and seeing how his wife & child was just kind of a footnote/afterthought in his life, so this is a story about how "[his wife and kid] are here too" and what he lost as a dad being away for so long

Last time I recced Full Metal Panic to my fellow TwiYor lovers, and today I want to follow that up w/ one for BASARA, my favorite all-time shoujo EPIC (27 volumes!).

(Note: NOT Sengoku Basara, but BASARA by Tamura Yumi, one of the most respected mangaka in all of Japan)
