I remember seeing this piece when I was a teen and was just blown away by how much storytelling can exist in one image. Is she a spy? A thief? A stowaway? A Mercenary? An escapee? Is the wetsuit stolen or hers? Is that Knight / Chess symbol on her shoulder a team symbol?
Fact: Stowaway (the Joltik with my Emmet design) is drawn smaller than other Joltik I've drawn because Stowaway hatched very soon to Emmet's departure

Stowaway dev log #5. Day 4 of the jam. Background art. My nemesis. Bear in mind I've *never* done a full pixel art bg ever, much less for an adv game. This took a while to sort out. Some in process shots trying to deal with perspective.
