For these guys, since the bases of their tails are thick, when they're not in their full-body undersuits, I mostly have them in loose robes that hang over the tail/loop sort of loosely around it. Or occasionally, tail wraps (ideal for colder climates).

Am considering doing lighter clothing, for all of the crew members for warmer environments like the desert or hotter climates. The sea can be rough. Its why they wear these coats with hoods. But when needed, a wardrobe change will be needed for other environments.
