for the question, sometimes I do use grayscale, but I don't use it to draw the details? I just use it to seperate different layers, like the layer close to you is darker something. then I just use soft brush to do the color. just like👇
tried my best to keep the parts as close as possible. The F-35 actually has enough geometry to be able to break her down into an proper mech. I kept as much as I could , the thighs are just panel lined for the armor to open up from an inner thigh
