I’d never heard of Disney artist Jimi Trout until recently. He created many gorgeous backgrounds for the animated films w/Claude Coats. Versatile, he also did character design; check these out from a 1956 Disney TV episode about cats. Impeccable lines! Pics from Lowery Auctions.

back when i was drawing n gin a lot i really liked giving him these tubes attached to his jaw even though they kind of cluttered his design; the idea was it's an electronic voice synthesis module (made from a modified korg synthesizer), the source of the robotic echo on his voice
