Sources say Jolyne Kujo's haitian mom is from Overtown before they moved to Port St. Lucie. Jotaru loved the Pwason nan sos food she'd make. That's my cannon since Araki clearly didn't care enough about the mom to begin with.

Some random trivia about my ocs Estrelle (the witch) and Ilse (the pink haired demon):
-Estrelle has Haitian features.
-Ilse (pronounced il-sa or Il-si) comes from a dynasty of cursed witches who mated with demons.
-Estrelle is Agatha's cousin.
-Ilse doesn't actually have horns.

In Haitian Vodou, Maman Brigitte is wife of Baron Samedi, the loa who leads the spirits of the dead to the beyond, to find peace and rest. She curses wickedly and has a taste for rum, and the rooster is her symbol, yet she is compassionate.

La bandera del Grito de Lares tiene una historia muy caribeña. Se inspiró en la bandera Dominicana, que a su vez tomó su forma de los colores de la Haitiana.
