Hazama's Houtenjin is now definitely more iconic than Kamehameha and has surpassed the goku legacy
@3Champ2 @doffyglasses Nah, a lot of new WESTERN folks won't recognized Hokuto Hyakuretsu-Ken but it don't change the fact that even today in CURRENT anime it is referenced as much as Kamehameha and Kamen Rider's Kick and the Henshin pose, even DBZ makes refences to Rider Kick.
Sols Volcanic Viper is now definitely more iconic than Kamehameha and has surpassed the goku legacy
@SLOplays Hell, even when it's not being CALLED the Kamehameha, you get people striking the pose.
Usopp's slingshot is now definitely more iconic than the Kamehameha and surpassed the goku legacy
Dejando favoritismos y gustos personales a un lado, todo el mundo debe reconocer el Kamehameha como la técnica / ataque más icónica y famosa de todo el manganime. Y aquí no admito discusión.
#Kamehameha #Goku #DragonBall
@doffyglasses I think @extrafabulous already broke down where the Kamehameha ranks…
Using a signature technique in general gives homage to the master when there is that level of connection and respect.
"Kaio"ken - King kai
"Demon" wave (Masenko for dub) - Demon King piccolo
It's also why Tenshinhan refuses use the kamehameha, In order to respect his own master
The technique was so iconic that From seeing the technique, Roshi immediately identified who the masked Fighter was against Goku, who turned out to be his Late deciple Son Gohan. The Kamehameha is passed down generation through generation to show who taught who, leading to Roshi
3. Meaning
The reason why the Kamehameha is more iconic than any other attack in DB is because Originally (Before DBZ) it represented a DECIPLE of the Great Muten Roshi or proved you were Roshi himself. Wearing his Gi & using his attack showed respect and Homage to their master
2. Connection
Kame means turtle, which is why roshi, aka Kame Sennin, is known as the Turle Hermit and wears a turtle shell on his back.
The Kamehameha is a signature move of Roshi's thus symbolises the Turtle Hermit style. Ergo " Kame" hameha. Roshi coined the name & technique
1. origin.
Kamehameha is the name of the founder & ruler of Hawaii. Known as kamehameha the great, the name means " the very lonely one "or " the one set apart ", pretty poetic as an iconic move for individuals like Roshi who lives on a hawaiian themed island by himself (lonely)
Aiden Pearce's cap is now definitely more iconic than Kamehameha and has surpassed the goku legacy https://t.co/AVfs8Hmms5
@TurboDunks exactly! before this they were really pushing the gumu gumu no bazooka, and even that was a lot more iconic and recognizable if you were to imitate it. Only thing... it looks like the kamehameha--which im sure is why Oda probably moved away from it
@doffyglasses One Piece might be far superior rn compared to Dragonball Super rn but, im just gonna say it. There aint no god damn way Red Roc is more iconic than Kamehameha when Luffy only used Red Roc ONCE in the anime & yet DB refs have exists for YEARS in other anime shows & manga
