For Pierre, yea, Glass Joe was a big inspiration for him, but also some other sad boys, especially Clive Handforth from LBP2, as well as The Big Cube from Shapes And Beats. ((I just really love perpetually sad characters and I want to protect them all))

Sackboy: A Big Adventure appears to be reusing concepts from LBP3's development.

An umbrella powerup similar to ones seen in early LBP3 footage can be seen in the newest trailer, while the boomerang seen in the reveal looks eerily similar to an unused model found in LBP3's data.

On March 2009, Sackboy was introduced as the 4th DLC golfer in Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. He came bundled with many LBP costumes and objectively had the best stats out of the novice golfers.
