@BrenttHarshman SEGA made a WWII Cap game for the 360 era that was pretty good IIRC.
It reminded me of Arkham Asylum or Wolfenstein in that each level was one continuous narrative, going from room or section to the next in “The same night”
@weareshura Loosen style illustrating urban narrative, hope you like them
As much as I poopoo on Spec Ops The Line for being an overrated game with a meandering narrative, it really is the only other game I can think of off the top of my head that pulled off the "mask-off evil US military" aesthetic. Wish more games did that
@plushielover2 What the cartoons have is constructive continuity. (Solid construction is prerequisite in cartoons designed for animation - largely due to narrative, time, & budgetary constraints - so saying that the cartoons shown have good construction isn't exactly a hot take.)
I always have trouble choosing my favorite Princess Tutu character. Ahiru and Rue are both excellent! They go through their own identity issues, change drastically throughout the narrative, try to fight fate, and have beautiful designs! They're both just too wonderful.
Finished Kaguya-sama: Love is War. One of the most enjoyable binges I've ever experienced in recent times.
Very satisfying and hilarious from start to finish, striking a great balance of SoL and narrative, goofiness and seriousness, all w/o feeling too convoluted. Solid 9/10 ⭐️

Before the movie Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, we had Kamille Bidan channeling ghost friends who helped aid him in his battle against Patimus Scirocco
"As a narrative, Kieślowski's RED is often recursively & sometimes even reflexively understood. It’s a film of ellipses, of threads dropped and picked up until, suddenly, they are woven." https://t.co/afZoBJrMPC
I love creature and character concepts as well as key frame cinematic and environment art, anything that revolves around narrative, and you know..horses, horses and snow make everything better~ #artshare
@DeputyRustArt I'd say of the 5 generally considered purposes of art; ceremonial, expressive, narrative, functional, and persuasive... Political art really only falls into 'persuasive.' If all art was political, 'persuasive' would not be a category, because it'd be a given. Are these political?
“A re-creation of the Louis Agassiz slave portraits taken in the 1800s—the back, the welts. This image reclaims that narrative, transmuting the white gaze on Black suffering into the Black gaze of grace, elegance, and beauty.”
The reference.

Morning everyone! Just over 100 chapters into Stone Ocean. While I enjoy the characters and the broader narrative, some of these fights bore me. Not that they’re bad, they just don’t add much to the overall story.
I really don't want this game to be lost to the passage of time. Even today the game is still a titan of quality in narrative, gameplay, art direction, and characters. It has never been ported anywhere and would be perfect for the switch

Karen comic, take 2.
I was told -rightfully so- that the first version erased black women from the narrative, so I made some changes to fix it.
