@volexcon @artisyone What playing as Knuckles in SA1/SA2 is like.
what if i gave lucy the sa1 treatment, like style wise, exaugurated
Sonic Adventure focused on exploration and the hub areas allowed you to immerse yourself into the story and setting. I've always appreciated how connected everything felt.
That's why I prefer SA1 over SA2.
It just feels grander and it was fun to watch these characters develop.

Fun fact. Some of sonic adventures style is a inspiration to my style!
Like that little smirk he does, or how exaggerated his poses are...of course i can't pose but still. But something about sa1 style just inspires me
@thwippy21 Sorta...
Before Generations there wasn't a distinction between Classic and Modern Sonic; they were the same character depicted through two different art styles. In fact... all throughout the development of SA1, 'Classic Sonic' was present.
basically, whenever we get new art of tikal and chaos spending time together i like to imagine that it's what they're up to while they're inside the master emerald after the events of SA1. i imagine it's probably meant to take place in the past, but that's how i like to see it
@EveryNightJazz Before SA1, Sonic was depicted as being pissed or atleast serious almost as much as smiling, weirdly enough.
It leads me to wonder if Sonic was meant to be more serious and "down-to-business" than he was known to be later on.
@StarKirb94 @HypraSeaPea i know this is half joking but yeah the SA1 design is fascinating in how it bridges the classic and modern designs more than you'd expect
The art was done mostly by @CaraQueDesenha , with the first drawing having some assistance from @bennascar2 for sketch revisions and @Blealolealoleal for the background version. Here's the raw versions with added background for the SA1 pose!
Had to do something with my boring day so i decided to do the SA1 pose

saw the vid was uploaded, so here's the full art i did for the new @saltydkdan thumb~
ive done sonic channel styles before, but i didnt notice that sa1 had an actual different shading method than sa2 and onward, so that was interesting!
happy sonic day, time to break my rule and play sa1 from scratch

I'll be busy on the 23rd so I'll get my 30th anniversary Sonic drawing here now. SA1 and 2 are in my favorite games list of all time so i do like the funny blue guy a lot. So, hope you enjoy it! #SonicTheHedgehog #Sonic30th #sonicfanart #Sega
@ninjinskie Jay Axer's Sonic artwork was pretty cool. It's reminds me a lot of the SA1 and 2 Era Uekawa artwork but with a sort of anime look. (Pic 1).
Now what you should be saying "what the fuck am I looking at" to is Ken Penders's Sonic artwork. It's terrible. (Pic 2)
