i have lots of experience with rpgmaker2003! its easy to get and relatively cheap, but there are other places you can find a free version. Its a little limited for specific actions but it does the job! I made some experimental stuff. the coding is just chronological scripting!

Here's what I have for Three Wishes atm. It looks virtually identical to the headpat system I have nowadays except the new scripting and character hierarchy is all super clean. I think this should be fine tbh
