I don’t think I mentioned it at the time and maybe I didn’t even realize it at first but this piece was totally the maybe-subconscious inspiration for a sketch of Shanka in 2021.

Vulogro represents the Ego of my subconscious and is Thorne's counterpart. she is a fire/light dragon and also came to me in a dream during a particularly dark time and has been a sort of guardian/guide to me ever since.
Thorne is my oldest oc (since 2007!) and is very dear to me. he came to me in a haze when I was sick with pneumonia. he's a poison dragon and represents the Shadow of my subconscious and often appears in vent art or alongside his counterpart, Vulogro.
