Honestly, this year I don’t have a game I can call the best one. Arise has way too many recycled enemy types and the final dungeon was just walking mini bosses. SMT V has performance issues but that’s really it for me. Replicant, I did not care for new stuff, glad it exists tho.

Metroid Dread then… overall it was pretty good. I grew to love the EMMI sections, the bosses are brilliant and the core gameplay loop will always be compelling fun. But it felt quite dated and safe. It was very predictable and looked quite bland. It’s a 7/10 for me.
