Scott Snyder's 'No Justice' sees Lex recruited by Brainiac as part of the villains crew.
He works to save the day with the heroes, but has a genuinely dark interaction with Martian Manhunter.
A relationship begins here that becomes a pivotal foil for Lex from here on.
Lex shows up at the Fortress of Solitude with the rest of the Super Family to defend a blind Clark from the revenge squad.
Despite the difficulties in their meeting, and Lex's notorious ego, he has been loyal to the symbol and Superman himself.
Just as The Oz Effect was starting we got a brief arc called Human Nature, thematically it worked well as a set up to that major story, but it also had some of the best Lex/Supes writing in Rebirth.
I'd include the entire issue here if I could.
The arc ends with the two being allowed to leave and agreeing to put aside their doubt and work together.
I especially love the second page here, Lex vowing to continue the late Superman's legacy, at the request of another.
Superman returns victorious and engages in a more friendly talk with Luthor, if still sceptical of one another.
As Lex helps the rescue crew a little girl calls him 'Superman', which appears to move him.
As Supes and Wonder Woman take the battle elsewhere it is Lex who stays behind to help the people of Metropolis.
Focusing more on the city and the people rather than the fight is a good sign that Lex is genuine in his claims of reformation.
@DreamsofPeaches @artofprefeito Hello! My commissions are open! I’m Lex a black nb artist from Brooklyn.
Told you I had a fan kid + his parents (lex needs another update she’s all brown now )
But in the tie ins we see a short tale of Lex learning to trust others and the origin of some of his psychological damage.
Lex kills Atomica, but seems a changed man.
After earlier blackmailing, threatening and finally failing to save Thomas Kord, he elects not to take Kord Industries away from the family and praises Ted's work.
Ted calls him "one of the good guys".
Bizarro's demise seems to genuinely affect Lex, and we get his ultimate victory with a classic Luthor line.
"But I'm smarter."
Every time I draw Lex I'm compelled to make him beautiful. U-U
As so we reach Forever Evil.
With no heroes to save the day Lex and a bunch of villains save the Earth from the Crime Syndicate.
Ok, so I posted on my side acc and will talk about it here but in more detail. What if the new commander is the one in one of Yago's card arts, and she is also Atla's mother/Lex's wife?
The champion seems to have a scope just like the woman in the splash art.

Thanks for commissioning!

Despite having been around for some time, this is actually the first time I've given Ragnarok a proper design! He's the big bad in Lex's story. He may look abit dull, but then again I never intended for him to look over the top either. I forgot how much i love drawing wolf paws
