@clayreee_ttv From my side of things, design was inspired by quite a couple of characters really. Tohka & Kurumi from Date-a-live, fox themed from Konohara Kitan. And adding an extra touch for personality from Samurai Jack.
As for the lore... I would really need room to explain it all haha..

Day #10 of things I love about WoW:
Scourge plague lore. The Third War encompasses some of the most gritty, dark, and terrifying stories WoW has to tell. They're my favorite because they're so unlike the commonplace heroics you see in-game and often have bleak, tragic endings.
