This is a side-by-side comparison - the light comes from close to where the camera is, you can see where there is a sort of projection of the faces. It is subtle, and I've been thinking for a while how to fix it - as a plus, this solution should extend easily to point lights.

I wanted to do the challenge but grumbled at all the framing/cutting/resizing I would have to do to make a grid of 3x3 faces. All I had to do was search a template XD So here’s a fun variety of faces that I’ve done in 2020, sorted according to symmetry :)

not a plothole but why is tecna telling bloom that she can't have a proper conversation with timmy in person and is better at texting. their relationship has grown so much from s1-4. they were always in each other's faces. what is this setback??

the art is seriously great too! theres a few artists who work on the series but the art remains consistent enough between artists that i never get confused as to who's who, which is pretty important in a series where half the characters dont even have traditional faces.

is perfect since I don't really draw that many faces. Im currently working on a top-down game, so all my environment art is top down as well, that way the feeling and mood from the concept art can be pretty much replicated in game!
