like i cannot overstate that “hehe these are how we’d draw these as dinosaurs!” completely misses the point. these are to show how old paleoart trends (that often still happen in media) would apply to familiar animals to show you how we should reconsider how dinosaurs look

Sometimes you can't help but want to draw a big theropod. Every Paleoartist does at some point. This time I bring you a very speculative reconstruction of the enigmatic and very large North African theropod Bahariasaurus as a large basal Coelurosaurian.

A pair of Paleoart reconstructions: Telmasaurus and Squalodon.
Telmasaurus was a medium sized basal Varanoid (a stem-Monitor lizard if you will) from the Late Cretaceous Flaming Cliffs of Mongolia. Squalodon is a macropredatory Platanistoid whale from the Oligocene and Miocene.

So this is an old project with I think we both shelved it so we could progress as artists, I'm considering revisiting it soon as it has sentimental value to me now, maybe a redo when I'm further into my paleoartAZ challenge to see the vision changes
