I finally got around to reading that wraps up Coates' Cap run.

For me, it was hit & miss at times. The first half was fantastic, full of great ideas, great art, but in the middle it fizzled out, dried up as you would, luckily it regained its fun in the last few issues.

To me, this is one of the finest moment of comic storytelling. These panels are as much about the "idea" of America as Captain America. It become a commentary on the dream, which Coates reflect upon in his run.
