The shading is good for both pieces but maybe try adding darker background for the first piece for mysteriousness ? (And make the eyes glow)
The second piece is good too but (my opinion) the eye should be revealed more so a illusion of the eye(..)

I feel like you could try working on shadows, i recommend you try different ways of drawing shadows to see which fits better! ^^ (tho i think cell shading might fit your art) https://t.co/vGCDEUZRUe
