This image shows the clear influence of Japanese #art on Van Gogh's work, especially in flattened geometric landscape. The intensity of the colors gives the viewer the same radiant & powerful feeling that #VanGogh & the field workers had during harvest. https://t.co/aunee5mGiV
A small #Illustration from a new personal project I'm working on about one of my favourite artists when I was growing up! #VanGogh
Loving Vincent ★★★
The first fully hand painted animated feature. I felt the #rotoscoping effect was done better in #RichardLinklater's films. The story and the performances worked for me though. It's the best retelling of #VanGogh's last few days I've seen put to celluloid.
What to wear to a Van Gogh Themed Party 🎨 Inspired by #LovingVincent movie. #mamodoodle #VanGogh

#VanGogh's early studies of Dutch women knitting are in the tradition of 17th century Dutch painters including Vermeer and Maes. Vincent's depictions were made prior to 1885 and could be his sisters or local inhabitants of the village of Nuenen. There is a calm mood about them.
