I love Russian fairy tales. My favourite is 'The Frog Princess' in which a princess is being held captive in the form of a frog by the immortal Koschei. Her only way out is a prince who has to find a magic needle which will set her free.

In Aesop’s Fables, Fox makes soup for Stork. He ladles it onto a plate and laps it up. Stork is forced to watch as she can’t lap. Stork makes soup for Fox, she pours it into a tall glass and slurps it. Fox hates the joke being on him.

Puss in Boots, Master Cat or Booted cat is my own cat's favourite fairy tale.😼

This trickster has roots in Indian and Italian fairy tales before Perrault wrote it down. The cat even appears in Tchaikovsky's ballet called The Sleeping Beauty.
