Clay people. This time i'm practicing drawing from greyscale to color. And as always, as you shall observe, i have the tendency to be lazy with hands, feet, and clothes 😂

I did that greyscale to color thing for this piece and honestly, I'm still not quite sure how it works (except for the crystals, I painted those straight.) It's useful to in making values really pop but gets trickier when you dont want the shadows to muddy up the hues.

basically its just assigning colors to tones! its useful for coloring greyscale images quickly, but I see some using it as a base and paint over it to vary the colors/ get a much more accurate render.
