Man on the moon... 🌕

experimental piece worked with grayscale and gradient maps
was super fun and interesting to make

🌘 RTs super appreciated 🌒
i put a LOT of effort on this piece i dont want it to drop :'3

the annoying person im about to become now that i know how to use gradient maps....

i just wanted to fuck around with different gradient maps and brushes i got but i realized i needed a drawing first 😭😭

dishing out new characters like a madman lately.
this is my first🏳️‍⚧️oc! he is a monster of sadness, fear, and innocence. his palette is inspired by the sea. the pattern and gradients on his arms and legs are meant to be like the tide coming in and going out

the way i screamed when i found out that this picrew had hair gradients that actually matched my design 😭

Im auditioning to be a cast of the YS series.
There another lack of options to make my color theme but i do love the gradient of the hair.

So I’ll often take the context from the surrounding scene (singular light, vague room/space layout and infer where the character is,
But I’ll always prioritize appealing composition over sticking strictly to the layout I’ve imagined and I’ll use the gradients to highlight (1/?)

Trying a different approach to coloring, using the lasso tool, an air brush, and gradients maps. It's pretty fun imo

max sketch because i wanted to learn how to color with gradient maps and for a first time I like it ❤️

Recently dropped a new collection on called ELEMENTAL GRADIENTS

A collection of GenGradients with the essence of GenNoise in it inspired by 5 basic elements of nature.

I like the chameleon mutator, the gradient looks quite great!

Greyscale Rendering nearly done 😜
Getting late, I'll try coloring with gradient maps tomorrow, goodnight for now friends!

Again, just playing with layer properties and stuff makes this a very fun tool for changing the feel of a drawing super quick and easily!

You can also double-click the icon in order to change the gradient map if you want to!

Have fun and I hope this helped ;w;)9

Depending on the amount of colors in the gradient map, some airbrushed things, i.e. the cheek blush (since it has a LOT of values) might turn into more of a blob!

There are only so many colors in a gradient map to color all the values, you see

0 1

For illustrations it's basically the same principle, a gradient map recolors the values as opposed to the hue or saturation

Basically it sees the image on the left as the image on the right

The example above is without any layer properties and just the gradient map itself on full opacity!

You can play with the layer properties and opacity if you'd like to change the feel or look of it, all based on preference!

This is of course for grayscale drawings/sketches.
