Here is my new abstract oil painting!
With palette knife and brushes, I started to create the layers. I also poured different paints on canvas to create a horizontal lines. After one layer of paint, I left the painting to dry and came back to it later with another layer.

WIP - So difficult to photograph as paint reflecting. I'm working on a seagull in flight & all I am interested in is the back of the head and the shapes! I can not add anymore lighter tones ect, as the oils get to a stage where they 'skid' & you can not add subsequent layers.

Basically I put gradient map on while I draw so it is all actually in grayscale except for the red and peach color layers. Last pic shows gradient map. Darkest value is black and lightest is white and then in between is indigo, blue, pale green, pink
