In the end I didn’t fully implement Blendshapes. Mundo wanted to show the difference between two states, but the actual transform wasn’t super important to gameplay nor would it be gradual. We already had the existing tech to swap submeshes using gear (which we used).

Yesterday I managed to buy 2 rare (top 3%) Prussian Helmet apes. The sum of the asking price was 12ETH but the 2 kind owners accepted my offer adding up to 7 so I think it was a good deal for all. Never be afraid to offer, even whales negotiate. I guess I'll start an army now...
