While I'm working on some bigger pieces that may take a while, I thought why not make a thread of comparing my very messy sketches vs finished pieces?

Comparing my old art with my new stuff is always a bit jaring.

after comparing the three new year's drawings I've made I just realised that dropping the exclamation mark for 2021 looks weird in comparison lol
as if 2020 was so overbearing there's no enthusiasm left

Daddy hugs but mega bellies. These two love comparing their fat bellies to eachother but also help eachother to make them even bigger~

Comparing 2020 and 2021. Looks completely different like it wasnt even drawn by the same person lol. Anyway I changed both drawing app, medium and color palette. Nowadays I dont even really have a palette ,I just randomly pick colors base on my mood 😂

Ah yes, 2018- the year of inconsistency, LOL. I experimented a LOT, and I did a lot of mini projects as well.

Some of these still don't look half-bad! You can start to see the way my style has morphed over time when comparing the 2019 and 2020 versions though!

I’m not posting every single month of art from this year, I will instead be comparing:

January 1st drawing (1) vs My more recent art (all the rest).

Comparing the Ox zodiac character from Dragalia Lost (including Dragon) vs Granblue Fantasy... I'm really glad Dragalia Lost is diverse when it comes to zodiac characters 😅

After comparing this with my 2 year old art, I think i shouldn't be so hard on my art style tbh.

I decided to do a redraw of Star Breaker and honestly I'm really happy with this. Comparing it to my old drawing it's nice seeing the improvement (I think so).

This year was hectic and I already know next year will be the same. Hopefully I get to continue drawing.
