Functioning labels don't simplify anything. What they do is cause some to make harmful assumptions. "High functioning? You're basically not autistic. Low functioning? You can't do anything." If you want to discuss a person's autism do it in a way that said person would prefer.

Doing a quick review right now I remember that there are cases of the two assumptions that you present.
1) In Frontier, the Meteormon (Kouji's Friend) was much larger than the ones on the moon. The Golemons summoned by Grumblemon also had different sizes.
