I tend to sometimes underrepresent some of my ocs. Not on purpose but it has happened where a character doesn’t really get enough love as all the others. I plan to fix those issues, but Lance definitely was under utilized in my original drafts

The problem? The round of editing that pushed its production from 1 month to 3 months improved the quality immensely. And this was my 3rd attempt to produce this story, which meant many of the images had had prior drafts, and that *also* improved the quality immensely.

It's very different to control a brush. My mom used to not let me paint because "you'll make a mess". I became a hell of a draftsman because pencils didn't elicit that same thing. I feel like I'm still dealing with the repercussions. Pencil versus watercolor.

The sketchy drafts aren't perfect but are very spontaneous. Whereas, the final version present a controlled render but it definitely lacks vitality.
Not always easy to decide what side to sacrifice.
