I think my nimbus concepts are all locked away on p*treon, but the gist is that its form is relative to the viewer in the moment. So it doesn't have a consistent form, it's just whatever you think it looks like at the time. Because it's a cloud... :>

While I'm not the biggest fan of Shez' outfit (it's mostly the orange that bothers me), their design isn't actually too bad. They look great in the academy uniform, so hopefully we'll get more outfit options going forward (the My Room menu implies we might get more).
