tried redrawing an old character concept of mine from memory while adding some new gubbins! their name, as you can see, is Spex Greyscale, and they have a rainbow arsenal from pea-shooters to rocket launchers with which to do some twin-stick cute-em-up action!!

Obviously it's still far from complete, but this is the greyscale of the entire piece, I'd say I like using the 8 bit layer and plans to use it in the future but still needs a bit more getting used to it...

My painting process.
1. Rough sketch for ideas.
2. Greyscale paint.
3. Decide the light source and ambient light.
4. Colour using overlay.
5. Start painting and blocking process.
6. Add details.
7. Add lighting effect using colour dodge, hard light, soft light etc.
8. Finish.

Affiche concours pour la brocante d'une association sans but lucratif (asbl la masure) qui était à remettre pour demain... j'ai réussi à finir le greyscale et à faire toute la colo en une journée et donc réussi à rattraper le retard de la compo.
