Dibujar a Diego con el pelo suelto es mi nueva cosa favorita

Shiva ( ) Blake ()

Of course, the real kicker of this is that in her classic incarnation, Shiva is aggressively opposite to the League's goal of achieving peace through the control/destruction of mankind. But again, more people have read Hush than Question.

And without that drive to do better, would Shiva even exist right now? Would she have turned into another forgotten 70s character, some gaudy old relic tucked away in the pages of Who's Who, fodder for online listicles and "Did you know?" trivia questions?

0 7

While 70s Shiva is an absolute blast to read, there's a maturity to 80s Shiva that reflects O'Neil's own, a desire not just to dust off old unused characters but to make them better, to reach new heights and explore new territories with them and to achieve their full potential.

O'Neil was always fond of having characters return in the weirdest places. The Question saw the return of the Musto crime family and Richard Dragon, but the first was Lady Shiva. And when she did show up, she wasn't the same Shiva from Kung Fu Fighter. Not by a longshot.

We're only a few hours away from the real and we only have one last writer to talk about. We've seen all the positive contributions of all her major writers and it's all lead up to this question:

What is the best thing Denny O'Neil ever did for Lady Shiva?

2 30

Also is it me or in this Annual of The Question Lady Shiva seems friendly and much more funny at times?

0 3

Everytime I see 80s Lady Shiva wearing outfits it reminds a bit of her 70s version, she is stylish AF and look at that earring.

Of course she is also really fucking lethal. And finally I know what happened to Jacob since he didn't appeared after issue number 4.

Btw, I found a digital version of The Question comics and some of the coloring on Lady Shiva is very jarring, is like the go from her original colors and then they decide to re-color her and then return to her original color again 😬

I didn't understand what was going on on this issue of The Question but man I am really glad that Lady Shiva showed up.

Dem arms and that back tho 👀💦💦💦💦💦💦

0 4

So I found that there is a The Question which is a tie-in or something like that? Anyways, the most important thing is... you know who appears in this comic?

The lovely LADY SHIVA. Dem arms tho 👀💦💦💦💦

Also it's amazing how Denys Cowan drawing style changed.

... the truth of the matter is that compared to the mindless servant of the League of Assassins that a lot of people seem to think she is, Shiva under Dixon bowed to nobody, even in the face of death.

And to me that's the best and maybe the only good thing Dixon did for Shiva.

0 10

But my problem with that, my eternal problem with Dixon, is that as much as he kept using Shiva, each and every single one of those uses just got worse and worse. I'm very confident in saying there is no good Lady Shiva by Dixon.

But.

But he did do something right.

As before, I'm sorely tempted to just say "got Brian Bolland to draw Shiva kicking the shit out of Tim" and leave it at that, but dammit, we're trying to be positive! And since Dixon has the second most Shiva appearances written under his belt, there has to be *something!*

It's time. With only two writers left in our retrospective, we have reached the greatest challenge of them all. The ultimate trial. The deadliest test.

What is the best thing Chuck Dixon ever did with or for Lady Shiva?

2 27

...she also speaks in a very particular and precise way, even at times poetic.

To me this is the best Lady Shiva that has been written, not one dimentional at all and she has a lot of nuances as a character that are very charming and she is treated with respect and care.

The image of Rahu is from a Japanese manuscript brought over from China. I haven't seen Rahu associated with Shiva before. Rudra atop a bull is seen in the depiction of Ārdrā the nakṣatra.
