Interesting lesson drawing skaters: yesterday I did a load of 2 min gestures but they were a bit stiff, fussy & disjointed. Today I gave myself 7 lines (in 2 mins, skates excluded) & I feel there's an immediate improvement in communicating what's going on.

So, today I spent a total of 9 hours in MS Paint making these bastards. Now my wrist hurts, my whole body is stiff, I have MAD fuckin respect for any and all artists, and I plan to make worse tomorrow.

Also glad I went after the furry bit of the cape tonight--I knew I lost something from the sketch in trying to translate the texture into real fur and after going back into it (right), it really revealed how stiff it looked (left, even though I was still pleased with it!)

Every Inktober I set up trying something out of my comfort zone. For these three, I had large hair for overgrown, interesting background for snow, & a mixture between a side profile & stiff but sensible pose for enchanted. The first character belongs to who is rad.
