To balance the mood and hint at moments of joy in the story, the author suggested I add a warm light contrasting with the dark clouds, which was a great idea. And of course, brushstrokes were a welcome addition!

I like that at a glance, this Kite looks so confident and sure. A very "I'm the main character" pose for the hero, but then his face is the total opposite with a painfully forced smile. Like it perfectly illustrates the contrast between how he's perceived vs how he feels. 🤓🤔✨

there’s so many clear diffs
- Outlines are way more pronounced
- Shigaraki’s hair is longer and more detailed.
- Gran Torino’s cape is more detailed and highlighted
- Colors are more contrasted, giving a more dramatic effect
- Shigaraki’s expression is also slightly diff

Here's a comparison of a pre-DMT figure study & my post-DMT rendering (the background was drawn later). I also saved a post-DMT version that was a bit more subtle in the way it contrasted the values. I added a different background too (although it's not quite finished)

Kinda wanna try experimenting with thicker outlines for my next couple of pics 🤔 I feel like they can contrast with thinner lineart really well if used right

I used to draw on a laptop and the screen brightness was wack and everything I made was on high contrast so it really threw me off
