ドラマ化された城塚翡翠シリーズの中編2作収録作。
やはり表題作の出来が良い。ミステリーとして単純かと思いきや、犯人の犯行方法の工夫に妙が。犯人の動機に哀しみがあり、主人公の葛藤も併せて展開に感情移入させられた。映像化希望。
