I ended up getting Total War: Warhammer 2 and I am really glad I did. The gameplay is so fun and the scale of the environments are beautiful. I love zooming in and watching the units fight. These are screenshots I from my lizard campaign. I still have yet to play other factions

another good example of how I usually reference my environments. the shape and values are very much there, but I tweak the colors and stylize to make it my own. after the general shape is down I usually look at the ref less and less and do what feels right.
