Seascapes by Caspar David Friedrich (1774 – 1840). Friedrich's work brought him renown early in his career. Nevertheless, his work fell from favour during his later years, and he died in obscurity. It wasn't until the 20th Century that he was rediscovered.
This street in Bedford is named for Rose Fortune (ca. 1774-1864,) a Black Loyalist, entrepreneur, unofficial police officer and popular local figure in Annapolis Royal. She is buried in that town's Garrison Cemetery. A marker was put up for her in 2017. https://t.co/TAISYIbhMS
