Lawrence The Boombox goon appreciation post. Played by George Lane Cooper this Joker goon pretty much had one job and more than excelled at it. He also appeared in the Comic Adaptation, the Batman '89 comic series, and the Genesis/Mega Drive and PC engine Video Game Adaptations
Epic Illustrated, issue 3, 1980, from Marvel Comics, features cover art by Paul Gulacy, with adaptations of Michael Moorcock, and Robert E Howard stories among many others

@manga_nostalgic Anime adaptations won’t ever be perfect EXACTLY BECAUSE #Clamp art will forever been unmatched, too stunning, so impossible to reproduce
Just watched The Pilot of #TheSandman and honestly more graphic novel writers need to be executive producers on their original work like Neil Gaiman especially Brian K Vaughn coz the adaptations of his masterful works keep on getting butchered (Paper Girls, Y:The Last Man etc)
FYI to game companies:
Just cause we like Sonic doesn’t mean every series needs live-action adaptations
If Mappa we're to make movies out of Fujimoto's other works these would be the 2 that I would choose
Look Back & Goodbye Eri would be great movie adaptations
writing my masters dissertation on romeo and juliet adaptations and here's the cover I made!! 💙
John Constantine, Swamp Thing, the Doom Patrol, and now Sandman have all gotten killer television adaptations. Now it's their turn:
Its crazy we're most likely gonna be getting anime adaptations for Chainsaw Man and Jigokuraku (Hell's Paradise) airing either at the same time or back to back. Both with MAPPA studios behind them. What a time to be alive.

Stenomylus branched off earlier in camel evolution, with heightened adaptations for the open savanna. Distinct from earlier taxa, they possessed rounded skulls, recessed nasal bones, & high-crowned hypsodont molars, valuable attributes for munching on arid rangeland flora.🧵4/7->
Bless the Maker and His water.
A much more recent #dune picture here. I always feel there a fantastic sense of the exotic in #Herbert's book, that typically isn't there in any of the adaptations. I tried to show the richness of #Fremen culture - full of Arrakean promise.
2014, 2013, 2012, 2011
2014 had some good ones as well but I’ll always go for original animes over manga adaptations for lists like these, 2011 was also really hard with penguindrum and tiger&bunny
2018 - Toss up between Banana Fish and Devilman Crybaby, both of which I have a love-hate relationship with and both of which I read the source manga for in preparation for the adaptations. Crybaby probably wins by the technicality of I've watched it four times.
It especially pisses me off to no end when it comes to the KyoAni KEY adaptations in specific, because it's more than often always "the eyes are x, y & z" but mostly done in a mocking or abrasive mannerism.
And you wanna know what? It's always from a close minded perspective.
