Running into local AoA trouble the team still manages to retrieve a life seed and return home. Only to have Archangel and his Horseman waiting for them.
Traveling to the Age of Apocalypse, X-Force needs to grab a life seed to prevent Warren’s ascension. Things between Betsy and Fanto are still icy and the X-men of AoA don’t make things any easier.
...and I said emotional, right? Though only 3 issues, the bond between these two came across so strongly. Really feel like you KNOW AOA Forge from just those few panels
The gradual peeling back of the true nature of the AOA by using Bishop as a fulcrum between the two realities was really cool
Desert Island Time, Part I:
You can only bring 4 X-Men related omnibuses/hardcovers/TPBs with you. What do you take? These would be mine (I think!)
1). Unc. Omnibus 2 to cover Dark Phoenix and DOFP
2). X-Men XXL by Jim Lee to cover my fav X-Men story (‘91 #1-3)
3). FA
4). AOA
1009). Mar1995.
At the time, easily one of my favorite issues of AOA. I read this thing dozens of times!
AOA Deadpool! Something tells me he would have a more, uh, prominent role if AOA was designed in the 2000s
Was NOT expecting AOA Juggernaut to be like this! Definitely a shock!
1004). Mar1995.
As much as I love AOA, I think this was my least favorite of the titles. Such a dramatic departure from X-Force, and so much going on that I don’t think I understood the first time. I do like the cast tho!
986). Feb1995.
Possibly the most famous pre-AOA issue of them all! Just check out this massive cover by @AdamKubert and Tim/@HildebrandtGreg; the interiors are almost entirely double page spreads!
