I want to thank everyone who came and hung out with me and @DrRKelly over on @G33ksLikeUs' Twitch channel. We had a great time talking about Anime, Autism, and drawing some super inspiring characters!
Today is Autistic Awareness.
Since Yumi (aka Melody) has autism, here are her symptoms.
She can't understand peoples cues. (Aspergers)
She's restless. (ADHD)
And plays with toys and watches cartoons. (Peter Pan Syndrome)
The PKs have to baby her, but it still makes her cute
I’ve been teasing about our upcoming comic featuring a super hero with autism, but I haven’t yet announced the title. Well guess what, this will happen this weekend when I finally reveal the comic cover. Here is an art sample from the comic
3) There are many people with autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, tourette's syndrome, ADHD... but many of us don't see these neuro-differences as something that "has to be cured", we see them as part of ourselves. & with the challenges, also come our superpowers & unique qualities.
@saionart_ Hiya! I'm Mercury, I'm a trans artist, and I LOVE Pokemon. Like, LOVE. It's my biggest special interest! I have ADHD and possibly Autism, and I don't have a following yet, so any RTs are appreciated! And follows too!! <3

@FurFoxSakeSuits Hello! I have autism, adhd, gad, and ocd. I went undiagnosed for the longest time because I was passing classes so they didn’t care enough to test me. Then I grew up and learned about it so I advocated to get tested myself. That was senior year of high school.
Between super busy days, I’ve found some time to just play and experiment with brushes in Ps. Idea was to capture how my goddaughter experiences her Autism, internal highways that go around bends and corners. Often we forget that each individual mind is wired differently 🤘🏻
@LilNasX I'm an LGBT student illustrator with autism, I wanna get into comics someday!
"Story is unique to everyone, and in this case mirrors the idea that 'If you meet one child with autism, then you’ve met one child with autism.'" -@mummysamart https://t.co/PhogO1uRee

Dlawso is very shy and has autism, contrasting to Mina’s bubbly personality. Fortunately, Mina accepts him for what he is and manages to help him through it.
Yeah! Finished my favorite page of Little Jack Thomson‘s Magnificent Brain, a story about a boy with autism, his courage, and the will to dream. Linocut with watercolor. #childrensbookillustration #kidlit #kidlitart #scbwi_illustrat #AutismAwareness #autism
As some of you may know, April is Autism Acceptance Month. As someone diagnosed with autism, I thought of spending this time to create a few pieces that highlight and reflect on aspects of autism and mental health in general. More to come soon. ❤
