Interestingly, before Bellini made his portraits of Mehmed in 1480, when European artists wanted to depict 'El Gran Turco' in the 1470s they seem to have used John's bust as the starting point & we get a Sultan who looks more like Blackbeard or Jack Sparrow.

Virgin of Humility, adored by a prince of the House of Este, 1440 - Jacopo Bellini at his best. This is now in the Louvre Museum.
'The Introduction of the Cult of Cybele at Rome' is one of four pictures commissioned in 1505 by Francesco Cornaro a Venetian nobleman. Andrea Mantegna only completed one before his death and Gentile Bellini supplied the other paintings.

Shades of Bellini and Giorgione in this painting, known as "The Gypsy Madonna", by a 21-year-old Titian. It's now in Vienna, along with several other masterpieces.
