One, love your name, Dihydrogen Monoxide always makes me giggle

Two, I do ref sheets! I have fursuit-friendly refs starting at $50 USD!

22 October 1797. First use of a silk parachute was made by Frenchman André-Jacques Garnerin (31 January 1769 - 18 August 1823) at Parc Monceau, Paris. He jumped from a hydrogen balloon at a height of approximately 3,000 feet.

Early concept for a nuclear-powered Mars mission, using hydrogen drop tanks and a winged 16 ton lander that can return to the main craft using its own hydrolox engine.
Available time on the Martian surface was only 5 days.

Using the most-advanced computers of that time, by 1952 Los Alamos built and tested Ivy-Mike, the world’s first full-scale hydrogen bomb. It achieved a yield equivalent to 10,400,000 tons of TNT. (Photo: Los Alamos)

Always interesting to find anything visible in the Outer region. It is clearly visible in hydrogen but does not show up in Gaia as a clearly separate arm.

In this HI4PI hydrogen velocity map, we can see various dots that represent masers that have both velocity and parallax measures. They are colour-coded based on spiral structures. This seems clear enough but ...

August 27, 1783: Benjamin Franklin witnessed the world’s first hydrogen balloon flight in Paris, France.
He was so impressed that he agreed to be a financial backer for the first manned balloon flight.

Solving the mystery of the third quadrant. I could not find a catalog of HI4PI shells/bubble in the 3rd quadrant so I started working on one and I noticed a simpler pattern: 5 hydrogen streams that wend their way past the bubbles, connecting the local material to the Perseus arm.

The region in my doodle shown as the Dehcho delta is full of atomic hydrogen (HI) bubbles. A couple of these are referenced in the scientific literature but can't find anything about the others. do you know of any sources for HI4PI bubbles?

These towering tendrils of cosmic dust and gas is located 7,000 light-years from Earth. The blue colors in the image represent oxygen, red is sulfur, and green represents both nitrogen and hydrogen.
