I love Superman. He's the best of us, the man who will never stop, the man who will always help. An alien more human than any of us and the ultimate ideal we all should strive for. That never needs modernising because it's always important.
Being a "real fan" doesn't give you permission to talk over others contrary to what some of you think. There's no way to be a real fan except to like the character. You can't hate every version except for one or like them all. If you're a fan of Superman you're a fan of Superman.

These days it feels impossible to imagine they'd have the guts to NOT put the protagonists' name on the series logo, even if it's not officially part of its name at all; as if people aren't smart enough to see Superman on the cover and know that it features Superman.
@cell_0801 I always thought it should be Kryptonian materials for durability, but crafted by Martha after learning more about her son and where he comes from, and wanting the suit to be a celebration of EVERYTHING that makes him who he is, which shows through as Superman.

In BvS, we see in Bruce's dream, a stained glass painting of St. Michael, however, it is different from the original painting. We instead see a long cape and buildings, symbolizing Superman. St. Michael is considered to be the pre-incarnate Christ, so perhaps (1/?)
@bway_banter I'd replace Wonder Woman with Zatanna Zatara to take her place as a founder of the JL. She has a fun rogues galley and a great power set. She's not just Amazon Superman. I feel like the JL could represent corners of the DCU. ZZ work great for Magic. WW is hardly a magic hero.

Sort of my own take on superman villain Master Jailer. I love his look and gimmik, he wants to capture superman. Imagine supes doing escape rooms it would be fun.
Also have him design traps for other villains to use on their heroes. Idk variety is good in a villain roster
