Finished up Pike and Scanlan for this week's homework. Decided to try out some watercolor with the inking. I haven't done either for a long while, so i was pretty nervous about screwing up once I got to inking.

Today's practice is of Mr. Clay. Two different attempts - one watercolor and the other was trying out the new copics. (I went overboard.) I don't feel like I have a good handle on value, shadows, & highlights.

I mentioned the other day that my little cousin has started reading For my practice today I made her a little drawing of herself as a Ravenclaw for her 10th birthday. The hands accidentally got washed away in the watercolor, but I hope she likes it!

Progression of my inked character for from digital to ink.
I used micron pens and copics, which the copic shading was a bit rushed and sloppy but I feel like it adds to the ruggedness of the character! 😅
