My pal @ferretface inked up my sketches from last night. Whether they are in reboots or not we can always still remember the characters and draw fan art. That said please don't tag me in questionable art/posts...thanks!
Squirrel!
It seems to be basic marketing that we are driven by what is "All-New" and "All-Different". In comic books, we get routine reboots and recharacterizations, but often short-lived as they cease being new and the IP has value that requires stability.
Sea Dragon's Gripes:
One issue I take to both Spinoffs and Reboots is when they go and be untruthful to their predecessors by fucking up what we loved from the originals or just being a mess altogether-
Wow, thank you for all the kind words and Secret Six love this morning!
When a book falls out of print and there are reboots, it's always delightful that it is remembered at all, let alone so fondly.
You made my morning, all. Strix says thanks!
Let me make a D&D animated series that both reboots the ‘80s cartoon and uses aspects from the Capcom arcade games

@ItsCeliaAu was good enough to #cosplay pose for me to draw her as #jubilee

"A reboot/reinterpretation has to be accurate to the source material in order to be good."
Reboots/reinterpretations that are far different from the source material but are still good:
And that's without getting into the many new, interesting ideas in this iteration. I always defend trying new stuff out in adaptations or reboots, and even the ones that made me raise an eyebrow have proven interesting and cool to me.
PLUS, I adore Penumbra. Alien wife.
Me: Man there's a lot of cartoon reboots being announced. *sighh* Some people are just too stuck in the past...

Had some reasons to consider superhero reboots and deconstructions lately. They were tired years and years ago. So of course, in 2011, @cartoonjones and I embarked upon our own take on a violent superhero deconstruction. One specifically focused on reboots - Danger Club... 1/13
all these reboots and remakes yet no one out there wanna reboot raggedy ann and andy ok
There's something i can't put into words about these reboots
There are three sections to my twitter feed these days.
“HAZBIN HOTEL SUCKS WHY IS IT GETTING PICKED UP”
“YOU WERE JUST BITCHING ABOUT HOW WE SHOULD HAVE NEW SHOWS AND NOT REBOOTS”
Aaaaand then there’s @PartyPrat
@creamreaper9 @RealMaiWaifu @TheOnlyGingerBO @Lost_Pause_ New art direction and story more base on the light novel. Highschool DxD Born had a different season ending, Hero reboots it to the light novel storyline.
I don’t know about you, but I would rather see reboots or revivals of lesser known shows of the past. Freakazoid ended too early and the concept of Road Rovers wasn’t fully Conceived. Giving them new light?
Just imagining a would where shows like these have been greenlit and networks didn't rely too damn much on reboots
Commission of Giana from the Giana Sisters reboots in the Mario art style for @MissingUser
@Desss_Tinyyy @LisaMinteh I’m tired of cinderella reboots. Can they just give us more black princesses period
