The Big Sleep (1946) based on the 1939 Raymond Chandler novel- directed by Howard Hawks, screenplay by William Faulkner(!), starring Bogart and Bacall - all of whom found the plot so confoundingly complex, they tapped Chandler for guidance, who likewise couldn't make sense of it.

I'm excited to dive into the book I got at the comic book store today! As you can tell by the cover, this PLANET OF THE APES comic isn't adapted from the '68 film, but from Rod Serling's original screenplay, which was heavily rewritten. I'm thrilled to check it out!
